For the past three years Launch has foregone Christmas cards to our clients. Not because we’re Grinches! We’ve just opted to give a donation to a local charity which makes a real difference in the community instead.
Each year, Caring In Bristol reaches hundreds of vulnerable people through its Christmas appeal. For seven days from Christmas Eve it runs a pop-up day centre which provides festive food, community, activities, and wellbeing services to people without a home.
In 2023 the organisation reached 547 guests who visited the pop-up 1213 times, as well as delivering 200 festive meals and hampers to those who could not travel to the centre.
Launch donates one Christmas meal for every member of staff, so we’re really pleased to have given £875 to this incredible cause this year. We want to do all we can to have a positive impact in line with our B Corp values, so we’re really pleased to have found a local cause which makes a big difference at a time of year when many struggle.
