If you’re as nosy as we are about people and what makes them tick, this content series is for you. Members of our award-winning team give us a little peep behind the curtain of their working practices – what kind of snacks power their performance marketing prowess? What systems do they have in place to collaborate smoothly with clients and get marketing shizzle done brilliantly?
In this instalment, the brilliant Rhianna has kindly offered up her tips for working life.
I lead and support on a range of client accounts from both a strategy and implementation point of view, across Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn.
A few clients I work with include Icelandair, Jigsaw and Banham.
I’ve come across a lot of bugs when testing on Meta, and I think the main thing is just triple checking the set up on everything. I find myself doing closer to even 5 or 6 checks more recently to make sure everything that has been set up is definitely how I need it to be to deliver relevant but also accurate results.
Having clients that trust what I’m doing and allow room for new ideas and testing. It’s great to work with some amazing clients who value what I do and are open to these kinds of things, especially when it’s different from what they were initially thinking.
For one campaign we were able to test different image and video assets when initially images weren’t an option for this particular campaign, however they did showcase the strongest performance and we worked off of this with additional creatives to incorporate into the mix.
I get a lot of my information and updates from LinkedIn. It’s good to get a quick snapshot on latest updates whilst also being able to gauge other people’s opinions and learnings, especially on things where there’s not a lot of official information out! Pages like Socialinsider and Girl Power Marketing are great to keep up with on the wider digital marketing industry.
I’m probably in the minority here, but if I have a lot to do I struggle to have music or anything else on in the background! I do my best work when it’s completely silent.
Written lists and notes really help me – I feel most organised and ready to tackle the day when I physically write everything down (although I do get through an insane amount of paper).
Not so much all snacks, but I’m fuelled by cups of tea, biscuits and dash drinks!
